"Sons of Anarchy" star David Labrava's 16-year-old son committed suicide Saturday after a lifelong battle with depression, the actor said Wednesday.
Labrava, who appeared on the popular FX series as Happy Lowman, shared a series of emotional photos and messages remembering his teenage son Tycho on social media.
"Never in a million tears would I think I would be posting this. This is my boy Tycho. He took his life a couple of days ago at 16 years old," he wrote on Instagram. "He suffered from a depression we couldn't see because he was a happy young kid. Communicate with your loved ones, there might not be any signs. Cherish them. I am broken."
The actor also shared several smiling snaps featuring the teen posing by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and on what appears to be the "Sons of Anarchy" set.
Labrava, 55, posted the link to a GoFundMe page that would, as per Tycho's last wish, donate all contributions to a "depression and bipolar organization."

"He quietly suffered from depression for years and didn't know how to ask for help," the page said. "An amazing and beautiful soul, Tycho was extremely intelligent, athletic, loyal, and a sensitive friend. He was full of life, constantly smiling, and had a knack for making others laugh."
Labrava appeared on all seven seasons of "Sons of Anarchy" as the Sergeant-At-Arms of the show's titular motorcycle club. His autobiography, "Becoming a Son," was released in 2015.
