President Trump, who has been slammed by survivors of the Florida high school mass shooting, has agreed to meet with students and teachers from the school this week.
The White House schedule announced a “listening session,” Wednesday but did not specify which students or staff from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will be permitted to attend.
The President has also agreed to meet with Florida state and local security officials on Thursday.
Students from the Parkland school have expressed anger at the President for his response to the massacre which left 17 students and staffers dead and dozens injured.
The President on Twitter has focused on the shooter’s mental health and questioning previous administrations’ inability to pass gun control laws.

A Douglas High School sophomore named Sarah Chadwick sent a tweet to the President after surviving the attack that quickly went viral: “I don’t want your condolences you f---ing piece of s--t, my friends and teachers were shot.” She later said she regretted the profanity but stood by her outrage and wants to meet with the President.
“Children are dying, and their blood is on your hands because of that,” Parkland student David Hogg, referring to the President, told Chuck Todd Sunday on “Meet the Press.” “Please take action. Stop going on vacation in Mar-a-Lago....For God sake, let's save some lives.”
