President Trump capped a week of heartbreak by suggesting in a tone-deaf tweet that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was too distracted by the Russian collusion probe to investigate the Parkland, Fla., shooter.
“Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable,” Trump wrote, hours after survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School attack ripped the NRA and Trump for failing to adopt tougher gun laws.
Trump continued his rant from his Mar-a-Lago estate by accusing the nation’s top law enforcement agency of “spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.”
“There is no collusion,” Trump added. “Get back to the basics and make us all proud.”

The FBI admitted on Friday to receiving multiple tips that Cruz made disturbing social media postings threatening mass death similar to what he allegedly unleashed at his old school Wednesday.
One of the comments found on YouTube by a "Nikolas Cruz" said, "Im going to be a professional school shooter."
The FBI said they were unable to determine who wrote the comment.

The eventual attack left 17 people dead, including 14 students, for which Cruz has been charged with 17 counts of murder.
The startling admission only fueled Trump's FBI ire after months of criticism for supposed partisan bias. The investigation into whether Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Russia to snag him the White House victory is being headed by Justice Department independent counsel Robert Mueller.
Trump garnered flack on Friday for grinning and brandishing a thumbs up while posing with cops who responded to the school attack and medical staff at the Broward County North hospital.

He failed to respond to shouted questions on whether the U.S. needs tougher gun laws.
Vice President Pence addressed the Parkland killings at a GOP fundraiser in Dallas, Texas, also on Saturday night. There, he called Cruz “a deeply troubled man.”
Pence also failed to address renewed cries for gun control in his half hour remarks but slighted news media for pushing the “predictable fault lines” following the mass shooting.
He said the Trump administration will tackle school shootings by funding local law enforcement to “deal with those with mental illness before they harm others.”
