Sanjay Gupta says Donald Trump has heart disease

Dr. Sanjay Gupta contradicted the results given by the White House physician regarding President Trump's health.
In an article on CNN.com Wednesday, the network's chief medical correspondent cited the findings of Trump’s coronary calcium CT scan, which examines calcium levels in the blood vessels that go to the heart that would indicate cardiovascular disease.

"His score is 133, and anything over 100 indicates plaque is present and that the patient has heart disease," said Gupta.
"According to Trump's official medical records, in 2009 his coronary calcium score was 34. In 2013, it was 98."
Gupta claims that if the former game show host does not take more cholesterol medication and lead a healthier lifestyle, he stands a "moderate risk of having a heart attack in the next three to five years."
The neurosurgeon, who has previously lent his credentials to a possible bird flu pandemic and decrying medical marijuana use before shifting his position in 2013, appeared at the White House briefing room Tuesday and spoke with Dr. Ronny Jackson directly about Trump's health.

"It was interesting when I spoke to Dr. Jackson. At first he said he passed all the tests with flying colors," Gupta said, according to the Hill. "When I asked him specifically about that test, he did then concede that, in fact, the President does have heart disease.
"They're going to be increasing the medications, including the cholesterol-lowering medications to try and combat that, but there's no question, by all standards, by all metrics, anyway a doctor or cardiologist will look at it, the President does have heart disease."

When asked during Wednesday's White House press briefing about Trump suffering from heart disease, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders noted Jackson's qualifications while dismissing any suggestion that a 71-year-old who avoids regular exercise could be unhealthy.
Said Huckabee Sanders, "We support what he said yesterday 100%, that the President is in excellent health."
